Ana Hortillosa - Anamude - Five digressions

Ana Hortillosa - Anamude

"Five digressions"

We discovered Anamude last year with a pretty letter and above all with an impressive debut ep that gathered folk picking à la John Fahey and a subtly vocalizing voice. Now we look forward to her album, which she has just recorded with Adam Selzer from Norfolk & Western (and producer of M. Ward's albums)!

These are the five words that Ana Hortillosa picked:
Airplane
Journal
Hotsprings
Tomato
Shoes

Airplane
How do airplanes work? Some day I will be a pilot. I will.

Journal
Scrapbook, logbook, diary, drawing pads. I feel lost without a book to close and open and empty on to, forget and remember when it's time to.

Hotsprings
The rustic ones are the best. Alone or with friends, a picnic, some sleeping bags, a tent. A good hotspring is well worth the hike, even in winter.

Tomato
Salsa + huevos rancheros = goodness.

Shoes
Recently, I've fallen down stairs a few times in a row and I've finally questioned these old clunky shoes I've refused to retire. Well, it's time. But these new red shoes are a new adventure coming.
